Slideshow Designer is a very creative and imaginative multimedia presentation software which creates impressive and professional quality slideshows. The software comes with a host of templates, cliparts and sound options to add to your slide show. Its easy to use design and simple step-based process builds the slide show in just a few minutes. Design, Save and Publish your slideshow or share with your friends over the internet and make your memorable moments last a lifetime with Slideshow Designer. |

Work Area |
 |
The Slideshow Designer enables you to create slideshow of your pictures and displays them together. The work area consists of the following components: |
Menu Bar: |
 |
The Menu Bar contains menus for File & Help. The File has sub Menus for performing various tasks, such as, Opening a new slideshow project, Opening a saved slideshow project, Saving and Exiting the Slideshow. |

Top Centre Navigation Bar: |
 |
The Top Centre Menu Bar contains tabs for performing various tasks, such as, Browsing the pictures on the system, editing the picture, adding a template to the picture slide, decorating the slide, Publishing the slide, left and right arrows to move back and forth on the tabs and previewing the slide. |

Left Navigation toolbar: |
The left navigation toolbar has the different effects which are different for every tab that one selects from the Top Menu Bar. For example on selecting the Edit Tab, the left navigation gives two categories- General and Filter. Through the General you will get Brightness and Contrast options. Also you have the option of rotating the picture. Through the Filter category, you can vary the color filters on the picture. Similarly on selecting the Template tab, you get the various templates to be placed on the slideshow. The same goes for the different features that appear for each tab |

Top Thumbnail View: |

This is the white rectangular panel below the top menu bar. The pictures that we select from the folders which will be a part of the slideshow, get displayed as thumbnails in this panel. |

Bottom Navigation Bar: |
 |
The Bottom Menu Bar has the different features which are different for every tab that one selects from the Top Menu Bar. For example on selecting the Browse tab the Add, Add All, Remove and Remove All tabs appear on the bottom Menu bar. Similarly on selecting the Edit Tab, the Restore, Zoom In, Zoom Out and selecting the size of the screen options appear. Thus, on selecting the Decorate and Publish Tabs different set of features appear. |

Work Place: |
 |
Work Place is the white area where you place your picture and carry out the different effects on the picture. |

Create Slideshow from Pictures |
 |
On the Slideshow Design startup page, you can view the various tabs in the centre top Menu. To create the Slideshow, using the Browse tab, browse the folders on the system and select a folder with the pictures to be incorporated in the slideshow. |
 |
The pictures in the particular folder will get displayed on the stage. You can pick pictures from different folders as well. Select Save from the File menu, and save the pictures in one folder. |
 |
A Save As dialog box appears. Give a suitable name to the file, specify a location, and click the Save button. |
 |
Next start creating the slideshow. Select the Folder you created and add pictures to the slideshow software through the Add button from the bottom navigation. On adding the pictures, the selected pictures will appear in the top thumbnail panel. |
 |
Now you can use the Edit tab, Template tab and Decorate tab to enhance the features of the pictures in the slideshow. |
 |
Now click the Publish tab in the top center toolbar. You have two options for publishing the slideshow- in a swf file or a HTML file. |
 |
In the left navigation, Click either create a swf file or create a HTML file and a Save File As dialog box appears. Specify the file name and location and click the Save button. Slideshow will get published at the selected location. The slideshow can be easily viewed in the swf format or the HTML format. |
 |
Click the Preview Tab and you can run through the slideshow. |

Slideshow Designer Tools & Features |
 |
Slideshow Designer offers various innovative and distinctive tools to add a distinct look to your slideshow. The tools and the effects available are listed below: |
 |
ADD Button: Use the ADD Button to select the picture that you would like to add to the slideshow. With this tool you can select multiple pictures at one time. |
 |
ADD ALL Button: Use the ADD ALL Button to select all the pictures in the folder, you would like to add to the slideshow. With this tool you can select a set of pictures together at one time. The maximum pictures that can be part of the slideshow are 40. |
 |
Remove Button: Use the Remove Button to remove a picture you would not like to be part of the slideshow. With this tool you can remove one picture at one time. |
 |
Remove ALL Button: Use the Remove ALL Button to remove all pictures from the slideshow. With this tool you can remove all pictures at one time. |
 |
Edit Tab: You can do the changes in the pictures through this tab. The Edit tab has two of set categories for carrying out EDITING, one is General and the other is editing of Image Filters. |
 |
Brightness Effect: You can modulate the level of brightness of the picture through this tool. |
 |
Contrast Effect: You can modulate the contrast levels of the picture through this tool. |
 |
Rotate Option: You can rotate the picture as per requirement. You can rotate the picture through a 90,180,270 or a 360 turn. |
 |
Color Multiplier Tool: You can apply the Color Multiplier effects to the picture with this tool. You can modulate the Red, Green, Blue, Alpha color levels to carry out the change. |
 |
Color Offset Tool: You can apply the Color Offset effects to the picture with this tool. You can modulate the Red, Green, Blue, Alpha color levels to carry out the change. |
 |
Template Tab: Slideshow Designer gives you the option to add a template to your slideshow. There are 13 categories of Templates available on slideshow Designer. However, you can leave the slideshow without a template as well. |
 |
Decorate Tab: The Decorate tab gives you features, through which you can add captions, sound, Text and Cliparts/Animations to the slideshow. |
 |
Captions: The Captions tool is used to add a caption to your slideshow. You can write a template caption to be used on all slides. Also you can add multiple text options to individual slides. |
 |
Clip Arts: The Clip Arts tool has a number of clip arts which can be used on the slides. The Clip arts are available under the categories of Animals, Daily, Misc, Nature and People. Simply Drag n Drop the selected clipart on the slide. Also you have the option of selecting as many clip arts as per your choice to the slideshow. |
 |
Sound: You can add sound to your slideshow. You can pick sounds from the database or you have the option of uploading a wav file to be added to the slideshow. |
 |
Callouts: Callouts can be added to your slideshow. You have the option to select a rectangular, thinking or a transparent rectangle callout to add to the slideshow. |
 |
Help menu: You can use the Help from the menu to refer to Slideshow Designer Help File here. |

Working in Slideshow Designer |

Browsing Pictures |
 |
Click the Browse tab in top Centre Navigation bar. Now, select Folder with the pictures from the left navigation. |
 |
All the pictures in the folders will get displayed on the Work place. |
 |
Saving Pictures & Sound |
 |
Click the File option from the top menu and select Save. A Browse Folder window opens, where you select a folder. A Save As dialog box appears, Give a suitable name to the slideshow file and click the Save button. Your entire slideshow operation will get saved here. The slideshow will get saved in the .ssd format. |
 |
Adding Pictures to the Slideshow |
 |
Click the Add All button from the bottom navigation bar. All these pictures will automatically get saved in the location, where the slideshow has been saved in the first stage. The pictures will get saved in the JPEG format in the required size to be picked up by slideshow Designer. |
 |
Similarly, you can remove pictures one at a time or all the pictures from the slideshow. |
 |
The Pictures that will be part of the slideshow will get displayed in the top Thumbnail Panel. |
 |
A Sound Folder will also be created here and incase any sounds need to be uploaded for the Slideshow, they will be uploaded here later in the slideshow designer when we Decorate the Slideshow. |
 |
Editing Pictures |
 |
Select the picture which needs to be edited. Click Edit Tab from top Centre Menu bar. |
 |
Next, select the required effects (brightness, contrast, rotation, adding filters) from the left navigation toolbar and apply on the picture. |
 |
From the bottom menu bar you can Zoom in, Zoom out and Restore the Slideshow Settings. |
 |
You can adjust the screen size by selecting a size as per requirement. |
 |
Using a Template |
 |
Click the Template tab from the top Centre Navigation bar. |
 |
Next, Scroll and Select the template that you wish to include in the slideshow. The templates are Birthday, Business, Kids, Love, Music, Science & Technology, Sports, Travel, Underwater, Vacation, Wedding, X-mas. |
 |
Select the template and it will be set on the slideshow. |
 |
You can leave the slideshow without a template as well, select No template. |

Decorating the slideshow |
 |
Click the Decorate tab from the top Centre navigation bar. |
 |
The left navigation shows the 4 features that you can add to your slideshow. These features are Captions, Clip Arts, Sounds and Callouts. |
 |
Click the Captions tab, you can add a caption here which will get displayed on all the slides. You can add multiple text to individual slides as well and select the placement of this screen text on the slide as well. |
 |
Click the Clip Arts tab, scroll the categories of tabs and Select category. Simply drag n drop the clip art on the slide. You can add as many clip arts on the slide. |
 |
Click the Sounds tab, select the music from the music database available. Simply drag n drop the music on the slide. You can upload music of your choice to the slideshow. Browse, select and save the wav file in the particular folder and add sound to the slideshow. |
 |
Click the Callouts tab, select a callout from the available callout options. Simply drag n drop the callout on the slide. From the bottom navigation bar you can click Properties and can apply different fonts and effects to the text in the callout. You can even Delete the callout if required. |
 |
From the bottom navigation bar you can give time duration to the slideshow, also you can apply the effects to all the slideshows. |
 |
Previewing Slideshow |
 |
Click the Preview tab and view the complete slideshow. |
 |
Publishing the slideshow |
 |
Click the Publish tab from the top Centre navigation bar. |
 |
You can either create a SWF file or an HTML file of the slideshow. |
 |
Click create SWF from the left navigation, A Save As dialog box appears. Specify the file name and location and click the Save button and save in the .swf format. Slideshow will get published at the selected location. The slideshow can be easily viewed in the swf format here. |
 |
Click create HTML file from the left navigation, A Save As dialog box appears. Specify the file name and location and click the Save button and save in the .asp format. Slideshow will get published at the selected location. The slideshow can be easily viewed in the HTML file format here. |
 |
Exiting Slideshow |
 |
From the Menu Bar, click Exit sub menu. Alternatively, you can also close the application from the Close(X) button on the top right corner of the Slideshow Designer window. A message appears Do you want to exit slideshow. |
 |
You can either click Yes or No here. |
 |
On clicking Yes, you will receive a message Complete slideshow saved, view it now & click OK to view slideshow. |
 |
Also, when you close the slideshow process midway by clicking the Close(X) button on the top right corner of the Slideshow Designer window, then |
 |
A message appears “Do you want to save Application”? |
 |
You can either click Yes or No here. |

Applying Effects |
 |
Applying Text Effects to Callouts |
 |
Select a Callout and drag n drop it on the slide. |
 |
Next, click the Properties on the bottom navigation bar. |
 |
The Properties window gets displayed. Here you can: |
 |
 |
a. |
Add the text in the rectangular box, to be added to the callout |
|
b. |
Select bold, Italics or Underlined. You can add color to the text, select color from the color palette. |
|
c. |
Select font size and font type for the text from the window. |
|
d. |
Select orientation of the callout in regards to the template. |
|
 |
Finally, click the OK button to apply effects. |
 |
Applying Editing Effects |
 |
Select the Edit tab. |
 |
Next, click the General tab in the left navigation. The General Effects that can be given gets displayed. |
 |
Here you can: |
 |
 |
a. |
Change the Brightness of the picture. Move the arrow to either the left or the right and change the brightness. |
|
b. |
Change the Contrast of the picture. Move the arrow to either the left or the right and change the contrast. |
|
c. |
Finally, click the Apply button to apply effects. |
|
d. |
You can Rotate the picture either through a 90, 180, 270 or a 360 degree angle. Move the arrow to the specified degree value and rotate the picture through the angle. |
|
 |
Next, click the Color Filters Tab in the left navigation. The Color Filter Effects that can be given gets displayed. |
 |
Here you can: |
 |
 |
a. |
Change the Color Multiplier effect. Move the arrow to the left and modulate the values for the three colors; Red, Blue, Green and Alpha. |
|
b. |
Finally, click the Apply button to apply effects. |
|
c. |
Change the Color Offset values. Move the arrow to either the left or the right for the three colors; Red, Blue, Green and Alpha. |

d. |
Finally, click the Apply button to apply effects. |
